Uganda is blessed with remarkable biodiversity. Many ecological zones meet here, creating an array of habitats and landscapes,
ranging from semi-arid plains, lush savannah and grasslands, thick forests, rolling highlands and mountains, and a many bodies of water.
Africa’s largest lake, the Lake Victoria, is the source of the Nile river.
Lake Bunyoni is one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa and second deepest on the continent. And there are many others.

This diversity of habitats hosts an incredible number of animals.
Uganda is simply a birdwatcher’s heaven. It’s home to some of Africa’s most demanded birds, such as the shoebill stork.
Of course, the most sought wildlife experience in Uganda is trekking through the dense rainforest to find gorillas.
Uganda has the highest number of mountain gorillas in the world, with populations living in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
and along the Virunga mountain range in Mgahinga National Park.
Uganda is a favorite destination for an encounter with our closet relatives – the chimpanzee.
They make their home in the Kibale Forest, the Budongo Forest, and Kyambura Gorge.

And let us not forget Uganda is also one of the most ethnically diverse country in the world,
containing many different types of people with rich cultures and traditions.
