Word from the Director<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

I\u2019m Akim Ntambi, an experienced tour guide and the director of APE\/\/<\/span>PLANET. I was born and raised in Kampala, and I am a husband and father of four children. Before becoming a journalist, I studied in Uganda and Germany. My time as a journalist was interesting but several interference pushed me to change professions.<\/p>\n

My proficiency in German provided me with the opportunity to enter tourism. The tourism field came into my life as a total blessing. Speaking four languages allows me to connect with visitors from all over the world and ensure that tourists feel safe and content. Through this work, I have been able to explore every corner of my country and I\u2019m thrilled to share my knowledge and experience with our guests.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

When you go on an adventure with APE\/\/<\/span>PLANET, we\u2019ll show you the beauty and wonders of Uganda. With our extensive knowledge and local roots, we will share our rainforests and our local culture with you. My wife, brothers, and I run a tourism company, a small clinic in the local town, and a primary school with the support of dear German friends abroad. Definition of “ape”<\/h2><\/div>

Apes are a group of primates that belong to the taxonomic superfamily Hominoidea.<\/strong> They are closely related to humans, and are characterized by their lack of a tail, relatively large brains, and complex social behaviors.<\/p>\n

There are two main groups of apes: lesser apes (also known as gibbons and siamangs), and great apes (which include orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, and bonobos).<\/p>\n

Great apes are known for their high intelligence and ability to use tools, as well as their social structures, which can involve complex relationships and hierarchies. They also have opposable thumbs and are capable of walking upright on two legs for short distances.<\/p>\n

Apes are primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia, and are generally arboreal (tree-dwelling). They are omnivores and eat a variety of foods, including fruits, leaves, insects, and small animals.<\/p>\n
